Songs & Stories at the Star: In Honor of Dolly Parton

Songs & Stories is a Moona Star tradition ~ an evening under the oaks where we gather on the back patio, open the mic, and make a little room for one another’s voices.

This September, we’re gathering in honor of Dolly Parton: a woman who reminded us to be exactly who we are, to make something beautiful with what we’ve been given, and to never be afraid to shine.

Come share a song, a poem, a story, a memory, or something entirely your own. Bring an instrument if you play one, bring a friend if you’d rather listen, bring your big hair and rhinestones if the spirit moves you. There’s no need to be polished or practiced; the beauty of Songs & Stories has always been in simply showing up and sharing a little piece of yourself.

Whether Dolly has lived in your heart for decades or you simply feel called to gather, the mic is open and there’s a place for you here.
