Home Sweet Home Topanga

Our Life in Topanga Part 1

Taking a moment to feel grateful for all we have woven together in this beautiful canyon. Raising our daughter, birthing Moona Star, and getting to call some truly magical places home.

Every day I wake up to the birds, and fall asleep with the owls. Living on this  land, finding a home that could  hold us and all our treasures so perfectly has been a blessing. It is a true sanctuary.  Topanga will always hold a special place in my heart

My favorite part of our home

All the light , the light seaps in at different parts of the day in all different angels. I find myself and my cats ,moving with the ryhtm of the sun around each part of the house.  i love all my plants and the  pottery made by my Mother in Love (Gail Perazzini), alongside the incredible works by the artists at the Star such as Citizen Co and Clare Fawn. It almost feels like an extension of the house. There is so much love in every corner.

My favorite things to collect:

Handmade treasures, art, tapestries, and crystals. I love all things natural, raw, and wabi-sabi. Objects that carry a story, a soul, a little wildness and spirit. Oh an apparently i love the feminine body, i have all over the house and seem to bring a naked lady home every time i travel!

My favorite piece of art?

That one is hard, because I have a few that live deep in my heart. Two pieces found me in Santa Fe, on two separate occasions, both discovered while thrifting with Judy!

The first is a butterfly in flight, moving toward a strip of light that leads to the moon and stars. It represents connection, and the signs that reach us from the other world, reminding me to keep the faith.

The second is an Egyptian goddess, rendered as a collage of all the cycles. She represents the strength we carry within us, and the cycles we move through, physical, spiritual, and everything in between.

What home are you dreaming up next?

For a while, the world will be my home. But I hold a vision close: a cottage in Spain or France, full of light and beauty, a creative sanctuary we can always return to. Not a place we have to live, but a place that will always be ours to come home to

Did I mention our Cats are looking for a home for the year? Earth and Cloudy the cutest sweetest cuddly cats ever!
